Testimonials from Those Who Savoured The Intan’s Peranakan Kueh Chang
“Look at the ratio of rice to the protein! A little larger than the regular bak changs, you know you’re getting your money’s worth. 😍”
“This is very good! I vote it a Die-Die-Must-Try! Not the usual bak chang. You can taste the protein in your second bite. 😉 Very smooth and delish! I’m ordering some more for next week”
“First Class Kueh Chang! Tks for recommending. Makan one the moment I stepped into the house”
I bought 50 of these yesterday and distributed to my family last night. Mom who makes Bak Chang called today to say that it was so good – rice is smooth and just right … al dente for Bak Chang scale, I suppose and the filling is tender and delicious. One is definitely not enough. Kudos to Alvin Mark Yapp.
‘’I just tried. Can taste the spices and can taste and feel the tangkwa. Feels very homemade like my late grandmother used to make in her huge peranakan kitchen over wood fire at Lorong L Telok Kurau Road. Brought back memories’’
“I just savoured the best, most authentic Nyonya ‘Bak Chang’ i’ve had in years. They’re fragrant, delicious and remind me of the home-made “kueh chang babi” that my auntie used to make in her kitchen back in the ’70s. The glutinous rice isn’t too heavy. As for the fillings, oh the taste! Sweet in just the right way, moist, the pork isn’t overly done. Not chunky. The texture, just right. ”
“There are many commercial offerings out there and among those, some very good ones! But this one has that home-made feel to it. Like it was made by someone’s auntie. Because it probably was. Never before have i been tempted to have a second ‘chang’. That says enough. Thanks, Intan!”
